Trilith's Rural Media Centre has recently moved to a new home. Pressure on space at the previous location, Gillngham Library, led to this move. We are now happily settled in the Balsam Centre in Wincanton, some five miles further west. The Balsam Centre is a multi-use, community-owned building which was formerly the Memorial Hospital and is now home to a range of projects and services. The Balsam Centre has recently been awarded a grant that will enable some very exciting developments to take place.

Wincanton is in Somerset and we are also planning to extend the work with archive film that we have been doing hitherto in Wiltshire and Swindon and Dorset into Somerset, in partnership with Somerset Film and Video. It is hoped that we will be presenting some archive film shows in venues around Somerset later in the year and to this end we are actively searching for film of Somerset. This can be amateur, professional, black and white, colour, from any period.
